Writin' & Pickin' at Battle Ground Academy Lower School

Students will learn about the fundamentals of songwriting, including song structure, melody, rhythm, lyric writing, and arrangement. Students will explore different genres of music and experience writing with software and recording equipment. Class curriculum and projects reinforce the fundamentals of songwriting. Each Friday, we will pick on instruments! Our class will perform new work throughout the semester. No previous musical experience is necessary, but students who play may bring in their instrument.  
 
We welcome both returning and new students and will gladly aid and support differentiated learning to best meet the needs of all students.
